My wife, Judy, and I are Compassion Ministry Catalysts serving through the North American Mission Board. We serve in compassion ministries at the Regional Education Center, organized in 2009 at the intersection of Tennessee, Virginia and Kentucky—only 45 miles from the Great Smoky Mountains. The goal of our ministry is to educate, elevate and evangelize the people of our region. We coordinate the distribution of food and resources to the areas of greatest need through churches, ministry centers and community organizations. We rely on individual and group donations to support our ministry. Judy and I are members of the First Baptist Church of New Tazewell, Tenn. We have two sons and daughters-in-law and four granddaughters.

Conducting needs assessment to determine services needed
Getting to know community leaders, business owners, law enforcement, firefighters, school administrators, and other community influencers.
For over thirty years, my wife Judy and I have devoted our lives to pastoral ministry. Even after retirement, we continued to follow our passion and founded "The Regional Education Center Ministries" (R.E.C.) in Tazewell, TN in 2009. Our extensive experience in education has enabled us to impact our mission profoundly. In 2015, we were commissioned as missionaries by the North American Mission Board. Today, we serve as Compassion Ministry Catalysts in the Appalachian Region of TN, VA, and KY, using our professional education skills and experience to prepare us for this chapter in ministry.
Our unwavering support system, including our sending church, New Tazewell First Baptist, local churches, and individual partners, has made our ministry possible. Their support, along with their prayers and encouragement, has been invaluable.
At R.E.C. Ministries, we are passionate about sharing the love of Christ and making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve. Through community education classes, computer classes, disaster relief resources, and food pantries, we strive to educate, elevate, and evangelize the people in our region. We believe that by sharing Christ's love, we can inspire positive change and bring hope to those who need it the most.
Our amazing volunteers work with us tirelessly and have made it possible for us to serve our region with passion. We are committed to continuing this journey and serving our community with the same devotion and enthusiasm. We give all the glory to God.
